Tina Leigh Purdy grew up in Cape May County, NJ and began taking dance classes at the age of 6 at the Joanne Reagan Dance Studios. She has trained in Ballet, Tap, Broadway Theater, Lyrical/Contemporary, Modern, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Ballroom and Choreography. Tina majored in Dance at GCIT Performing Arts High School in Deptford, NJ and also studied acting at Weiss Baron Ryan in Atlantic City, NJ, singing with Sal Dupree. Her instruction expanded outside of NJ, traveling to Los Angeles, NYC, Tampa and Orlando, where she took numerous master classes and conventions with well know instructors such as Joe Tremaine, Mia Michaels, Mandy Moore & Cris Judd. During her studies at Joanne’s, she started her career at Fine Life productions, playing the role of Mickey for “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” as well as the lead dancer/singer for multiple other productions. Tina’s professional credits, which began shortly after high school, include membership with Philadelphia Soulmate Dance Team, working with Evans Entertainment in Atlantic City, performing as a Dancer/Magician’s Assistant with Nathan Burton (American’s Got Talent) in his Comedy Magic Show at Harrah’s Resort, and performing with Jason Byrne in “V The Ultimate Variety Show” at Trump Plaza. She has also performed live on Off Broadway, Walt Disney World, FL, and Universal Studios, CA. While dancing, she was also working on her modeling career with MikeSama.com and many others. Recently, she has worked with Jae Official as a back dancer and performed with the company Dance Del Bello in Philadelphia, PA. Tina has been a dance instructor and choreographer for over 10 years. She has expanded her studies to become a certified Zumba instructor, ballroom instructor and is currently teaching many styles of dance with Beth Jacobsen School of Dance while still expanding her career.
